At Piñero Family Farms, animals are raised with respect
and products are made by hand
Rosa and Nick Piñero are Navy veterans, originally from Philadelphia and New York City, with a blended family of five boys. After their military service they wanted a quieter and slower way of life for themselves and their children, so they began to explore rural living. When they found 30 acres with a creek in McKenney, Virginia, they knew they had come home.
Piñero Family Farms came to life in 2018 as the couple decided to raise as much of their own food as possible. Rosa and Nick now provide meals for their family and other products to local customers.
Piñero Family Farms is a small, local, veteran- and minority-owned agricultural operation in McKenney, Virginia, about 30 miles southwest of Petersburg. We raise a variety of livestock, including chickens, goats, geese, ducks and pigs. We grown vegetables and herbs without pesticides, and our animals are raised without antibiotics
We take pride in raising wholesome, all-natural foods, and the farm is open to visitors for direct sales. With us, you know where your food comes from. We don’t take shortcuts because this farm is part of our family.
